Since the 4o native image generation update, sometimes when you make 4o generate an image, it can get stuck. When it happens, the interface thinks like the output is still being generated and show the square stop button. But the button doesn’t work, so you can’t stop it. You can’t send new prompts either, nor edit older ones, effectively locking the entire conversation.
This has happened at least 4 times already.

Happened with me too. Try using the GPT desktop app, and then come back to the web ui. It works.
