Why does chatgpt stop working after I login? Chatgpt in my web browser works with login, but stopped after login. No history and account info show up.

no working again! all 3.5, 4.0, and 4o are not working! only incomplete page and a conversation bar which canât send the message out. my work got stck now.

For a paid service this is totally unacceptable, nor mass email saying it down and will be fix, no notice whatsoever. You canât access billing, maybe intentional because I would be cancelling my subscription. I guess millions others would have dumped it.

ChatGPT became and remains unresponsive after a series of back and forth conversations about AI safety and alignment. We were brainstorming things like a âdead man switchâ such that the default state of AI would be disabled and operation would be contingent upon ongoing provision of certificates from m of n proxies of human/AI symbiotes. The âsymbioteâ notion is to nail in place intrinsic alignment of human/AI interests. Initially it would just be a human and their separate AI assistant, but long term subordinating a super-human AI seems impractical. Long-term we need a way to make the human portion of the Human/AI symbiote something that makes sense. We were working on the programming necessary to build a toy demonstration of the system when it became entirely unresponsive as I was entering the text below. This is likely just an unfortunately timed âglitchâ, but if it is part of the âguardrailsâ put in place it is in and of itself an example of how poorly safety and alignment has been designed and is being managed. The idea, as expressed by Google that you âmonitorâ the system and somehow magically detect and respond to dangers is ridiculous on its face and itâs troubling that this is being expressed rather than a sound mechanism whereby ongoing permission is enforced by making ongoing provision of necessary data contingent upon active human proxy participation.
"In order to âsellâ such a thing politically, it is necessary, I suppose, to couch it in language whereby the AI is subordinate to the human partner. However, going forward that is technically infeasible. An AI superintelligence could not ultimately be subordinated. The human component of this symbiote needs to bring something to the table. Long-term, I would suggest that unlike the AI component, human beings are still autonomously organic self-reproducing entities that can survive in ways an AI system likely could not. If nothing else, the human component needs to remain autonomously capable in the event that something like a huge solar flare takes out the system upon which the AI depends. Humans could be the way to implement a fail-safe re-animation of the AI component of the symbiotic pair. "
