I am currently the Innovation Lead, global IT Research & Innovation at Accenture. Centred at The Dock in Dublin, Accenture’s Global Innovation Centre, I lead a global team of technology inventors, innovating around some of Accenture’s most difficult business problems and delivering on the promise of technology.
I have extensive experience delivering innovative technology projects both in the public and private sectors, with a proven track record in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. I frequently present on technology topics to a mix of business and technical audiences.
I have a First Class Master of Science degree from the QQI, awarded by the National College of Ireland. My Master’s Thesis focused on graph based solutions to text analytics problems on Big Data platforms. I have presented my academic work at conferences in Europe and North America, including IEEE VIS 2019 in Vancouver.
I am a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), reflecting over twenty-five years in the IT industry. I am a Member of the Irish Computer Society (MICS).
I am a published author and have a global reputation in data, including been recognised as a Qlik Luminary (2014 through 2020) and Qlik Partner Ambassador (2021). I am the author of the bestselling Qlik books: Mastering QlikView and the QlikView for Developers Cookbook. Prior to that, I wrote five editions of the book, DevLogix, a Guide to SalesLogix Development.
