Practicing physician and lifelong learner. My specialty is Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the focus of which is on addressing the needs of the disabled and elderly, and on improving quality of life. I’m also a graduate student in Brown University’s, Master of Public Health. I’m passionate about leveraging the amazing capabilities of machine learning, LLMs and multimodal models to help our disabled, and our aging populations lead better, more empowered lives. There are 44 million Americans over 65, a number that will double by 2050. AI will help meet the unprecedented demand, not only for them, but for us all. I watched my dad age in place at home, helped in large part to his smart devices. If he could have only seen the promise of their ease of access and the deep conversational abilities of LLMs combined. The use cases are limitless.
