I am an Argentinian Biologist with a Ph.D in Biotechnolgy at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain and post-doctoral experience in Spain and US. Currently, I am founder and CEO at GECORP (www.gecorp.com.ar), a genetic diagnostic company based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, we manage and develop the implementation of R&D projects related to genetic diagnosis between national and international institutions. My last job as a posdoctoral researcher was in the exosome field in the Marban Laboratory at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California. I have focused in exosome biology in a cardiac context for the last 7 years, but concurrently performed exosome research in other fields including metabolism and cancer. I find it exciting to explore new areas and I have had good experiences with that. I think that going into a new field without background perspective can bring interesting advantages related with novel solutions to old problems. I’m totally intrigued with how memory/awareness works, as well with Brain-machine interfaces and artificial intelligence.
