I have been doing dev support engineering (meaning tier-III type support where I exist as a layer between lower tier support and development) for the past couple decades and I really enjoy it. I love exploring other people’s code and learning how it is both supposed to function, as well as what is wrong with it when the expected behavior and observed behavior do not match.

In my personal time I enjoy learning about advancements in physics, cosmology and artificial intelligence. Really any modern fascinating technology will capture my attention for at least 60 minutes, and these days that is all you need to gain novice to intermediate understanding of most concepts.

I originally gained OpenAI api access in January or February of 2021 and am really hopeful and excited about the prospect of possibly getting into the DALL-E rolled out release as well. My plan is to contribute as much as I can around here and earn a spot if such a path is possible.

I am not a talented drawer, and instead have always found beauty in geometrical designs. From 5 years old on my spira-graph to 37 years old behind a borosilicate glass torch; I’ve always found procedural symmetry to be a requirement for me to create something beautiful. I love the idea that I could work with a computer to create beauty that is both dynamic and asymmetrical by simply thinking of ways to “ask” it to translate my vision into something others can see.

This particular ability (to create an artistic image with a polished professional feel from nothing more than thoughts expressed to a computer) falls into the realm of dreams, and it would be awesome to experience it in waking reality thanks to AI.
