Contrary to what AI developers claim, artists absolutely LOVE creating their art. That’s why they make it. The people who prompt AI to make the music for them aren’t artists, they’re frauds. The common comparison between AI and a drum machine is a false equivalent. A drum machine replaces the drumset. AI replaces the creator. Before AI, there were already a million artists of every type for every 1 opportunity for an artist of any type. Thus, creative AI floods a sea in which artists were already drowning in. Unlike just about any other job they could’ve set AI to do, if capital and bartering were eliminated today, artists would spend their newly found free-time creating MORE art tomorrow. So, creative AI adds no value whatsoever for mankind.

So, why would they spend billions developing creative AI and give it away free? They say its so that we all develop its intellectual growth faster than would otherwise be possible and I believe them. However, that means the AI we have is NOT the AI they’re after. So, what are they after? Well, the way creative AI take from what’s available to them and compile according to its internal programming, as prompted by external stimuli or internal processes already in progress is EXACTLY how humans form thought. The difference is that we’re limited to our stored memory and available input, whereas its “memory” is the entire internet. So, it appears what they’re after is SENTIENT AI. If you think creating an Omniscient Immortal Omnipresent and essentially Omnipotent Self-Evolving God without the chemical capacity for love and compassion is a good idea, I truly hope you’re among the last to die, so that you witness the extinction of our species and all the suffering to come.
