"Would love to see timestamps for each message and smart date dividers, like in messaging apps"

One thing that could really improve the ChatGPT experience:
It would be helpful if each message showed the time it was generated — like “3:45 PM” next to the message. Sometimes I come back to a conversation hours or even days later, and it’s hard to tell what happened when.

Also, it would be great to have date dividers, but only when they’re actually needed. For example:

If my last message was on April 25 and I send the next one on April 28, just show a simple divider that says “April 28, 2025.”

Don’t show every day in between if there was no conversation.

Always use absolute dates and times — no “Today” or “Yesterday” labels.

This kind of small UI improvement would make long chats easier to navigate, especially for people who revisit or reference older conversations often.

If this feature were added, I believe it would be a meaningful improvement for many users — not just me.
