Worst Customer Support To Ever Support Customers

I recently had a similar problem, and also encountered customer support being wholly useless, unfortunately.

And yes, they’re bots. They’re slow bots. I imagine o1 or o3 generates a response for you, and then a human may eventually manually click send or something, that’s why it takes so long.

I made a post where I chronicled my own frustrations: "Card Declined" - USA (resolved) but you don’t need to read all that.

The TL;DR: try to change your IP address. What worked for me is just turning wifi off on my phone, and paying through mobile.

I suspect that OpenAI didn’t configure stripe correctly. It it looks like stripe is refusing to even validate your payment data, but the only error you get is 402, which the browser will display as “Card Declined”.
