Currently, I cannot select o4-mini or o3 in the Assistants API. Will they be added soon? I was hoping to try them out for some of my projects. Any info or ETA would be appreciated!

Hi, welcome to the community.
The Assistants API is being depreciated later this year in favor of the Responses API. Even if they did make the new models available to Assistants, it’s still recommended that you migrate to Responses instead.
That could be, but it won’t be deprecated until mid 2026. It’s a bit odd to not include the new models in the assistants api.

I agree with quinkroesb, also I do not see a convenient way to test and configure Responses API, such as the Assistants Playground
