# Why is my gpt switching from 4 to 3.5

I just bought ChatGPT + like a few minutes ago and whenever I try to generate an image it just switches to 3.5?

The default after logging in to ChatGPT is often 3.5. I favor this as a general “new chat” policy, as there is no need to exhaust your GPT-4 usage limit for slow responses for a lot of conversational chatbot input.
Pick new chat “ChatGPT” button at upper left, and the model selector as “ChatGPT 4”. Input your image request and receive an image.
