Why did you remove the voice dictation on iOS app?

Super frustrating that the new app update on iOS - that the voice dictation was removed. Where you could just talk, and have it dictate to text. The voice chat does NOT work the same way. It forces a conversation. And sometimes I just want a written response, but still want to dictate my inquiry or instructions. Voice also assumes you’re done, if you pause, and that can be very interruptive to the flow of things. Voice dictation allowed for a longer setup/instructions/feedback/etc.

Why was this removed…??? Makes no sense. Gemini and Claude this…just saying!

Agreed! It worked so much better than Apple’s default voice-to-text on it’s keyboard. Struggling to use ChatGPT without it. Hate typing and dislike the Voice feature. I don’t want to listen to it talking.

Please please bring this back, at least in a setting. I used it to transcribe basically everything, even for tasks on iOS.

Same issue here. Can’t use the application without an inbuilt dictation feature. Hoping for it to be resolved soon.

Agreed. Can we please have the little microphone button back pls.

Yes, I totally agree with everything that has been said before the built-in Apple voice to text is not as good as open AI‘s whisper. Please bring it back at least in settings. Whisper is very good at punctuation and casing, which is very nice.

It has returned both on my phone and tablet. I didn’t do any additional actions. Very pleased to have it back.
