Why am I still free tier?

In my case, I was already in tier 1 and returned to Free.

Hello community!

This issue was rezolved for me. I contacted support last week and told them my problem, left my email address in and forgot about it. They just replied today saying I’ve been bumped up to Tier 1.

I can only suggest you guys trying the same. Good luck!

I tried this already and haven’t heard back from support after a week

It’s been 4 weeks since I met all the requirements and still stuck in Tier 1

I need a higher tier to be able to complete my tasks otherwise I have $100 stuck in this account

I will wait a few more weeks and if no change then I will just issue a chargeback to get a refund - and recommend people not to use OpenAI because of terrible customer service and for being unusable

Hi Gokul, I’m experiencing the same problem now a number of days later with still receiving the rate limit error, even though I’ve now spent >$5 for several days (plus the weekend). The limits are severely hindering my application and the official OpenAI help line has not addressed my issue.

I purchased credits back in Aug 25, 2024, and am still stuck in free tier. I reached out to support about a week ago but haven’t gotten any movement (said with love).
If it’s helpful, I sometimes run into screens that tell me to “finish setting up my account,” but I can’t find anything to finish setting up. I’ve tried setting limits/allowing models/etc.
