Waiting on plugin review for Resactly with no update after two weeks

I submitted a plugin for review about two weeks ago but have received no response / update. @casey-chow You had mentioned in another thread to open a topic and tag you. Can you please take a look as to what is happening with my submission. It’s called Resactly

Is there a way to get updates on submissions? It just sits in review and the Ask AI tool on the developer support page is not of any help

what does the plugin do can you please describe it

Sure — Resactly is a taste-based dining plugin that helps people find
restaurants and specific dishes that fit their preferences, rather
than simply showing what’s popular. In ChatGPT, users can ask for
personalized restaurant or dish recommendations, inspect menus, and
create shared dining sessions where groups can vote and decide
together.

The submission includes the full tool descriptions and test cases, but
I’m happy to clarify anything specific you’d like to know.

where did you get the idea, sounds awesome

Thank you—I really appreciate that! The idea grew out of my years as a
food writer. I kept seeing that people weren’t necessarily choosing
bad restaurants; they were often choosing dishes that simply didn’t
fit their tastes.

I’m also an engineer, so about three years ago I started building a
better way to solve that problem. Since then, Resactly has expanded
from personalized restaurant recommendations into a broader dining
intelligence platform that helps people discover restaurants and
specific dishes based on fit—not merely popularity—and make dining
decisions together.

At this point, the missing piece is getting through OpenAI’s review so
people like you who are excited about it can actually use it in
ChatGPT!

why the name, it is hard for me to remember it even after speaking to you. maybe if the name was easier to recall, ask a kid what it should be called they think of simple names easily.

That’s fair—the name is a play on “restaurants made exactly for you.”
Naming is admittedly not my particular creative gift; I’m much better
at building the software. At this point, though, Resactly is the name,
and my focus is on getting it through review and into the hands of
people who want to use it.

@casey-chow Can you please assist here?

did you get approval yet? this sounds really exciting

Hi DeerSpotter,

Since you’ve been wanting to try Resactly in ChatGPT and the official plugin approval process is taking its sweet time, I realized there’s no reason you actually have to wait.

You can add Resactly directly to ChatGPT as a developer plugin. Which means you can officially be my first test subject outside of my QA team (re: me) :joy:

Here’s how:

  1. On ChatGPT web, go to Settings → Plugins.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and turn on Developer mode. You’ll see an “Elevated risk” warning.

  3. Go back to Plugins → Browse plugins.

  4. Click the + next to “Search plugins.”

  5. Enter Resactly as the name.

  6. For the MCP server, enter: https :// svc . resactly . com/mcp (make it a valid link)

  7. For authentication, select No auth.

  8. Check “I understand, I want to continue” and click Create.

And that’s it. You should be able to use Resactly directly from ChatGPT.

Please absolutely tell me if you manage to break anything. That is technically what test subjects are for. :joy:

I am in a similar situation and can understand the frustration when there is no update after waiting that long. Hopefully @casey-chow can check the status of the Resactly submission and clarify whether it is still in the review queue or if anything else is needed from your side.
