To enhance my workflow in AI, I spend considerable time utilizing desktop AI tools. Recently, I’ve been enjoying the option to chat directly on my desktop with the new GPT windows app, which is a game-changer for real-time collaboration and ideation.
One feature that would significantly boost productivity would be the ability to have both a voice and canvas mode (or voice and text window) active simultaneously. This setup would enable continuous dialogue with the AI while viewing or editing documents or code, eliminating the need to switch between voice and visual modes to access my work. It would create a seamless experience, allowing me to observe changes or reference content in real-time as I converse with the AI.
Currently, while it’s possible to open a web window within the same session as the chat, the two interfaces don’t synchronize effectively. An integrated solution within the app, supporting both modes in sync, would streamline workflows and maximize the tool’s utility for advanced tasks like code review or document editing.
