Video generation is temporarily disabled for new accounts

Hi,

I’m extremely frustrated to see the message “Video generation is temporarily disabled for new accounts” when trying to access video generation features like Sora.

I want to make it very clear: I am not a new account. I’ve been subscribed and paying for this service, and there is absolutely no transparency or timeline provided regarding when access will be available. This is unacceptable, especially considering the premium price of the subscription.

If there are limitations, they should be clearly communicated upfront, not after subscribing. Blocking access without explanation or ETA makes the service feel unreliable and unfair.

Please provide an update on:

  1. What counts as a “new” account exactly?
  2. When will access be restored for users like me?
  3. Why are long-time paying users being restricted?

1000% agree with this post. I too was quite disappointed. This was definitely not brought to attention prior to entering credit card information and that’s for sure.

I just pay for an account just to made videos with sora and i have the same msg… im truly disappointed..I feel cheated.
