I have the same issues, asking me to verify on every prompt.
I pay for ChatGPT Plus - so OpenAI can verify my credit card, but not deduct from having one that I’m a human.

Exactly !!! And, to be banned for a while, is something a paid customer will not risk.

If you were asked every few hours, that would be fine with me. But every time you’re asked, as a paying customer. That makes Chat-GPT useless for me. If that doesn’t go away within a few days, I’ll probably switch to Claude.

I would do the same but as a custom GPT designer I have no options except to start with Claude projects from scratch…what a waste of time!
For over a year, I’ve utilized ChatGPT Plus with various IP addresses and have never encountered a CAPTCHA in the premium service. Suddenly, this has become a significant irritation. Now, each and every query demands a CAPTCHA; it’s extremely annoying and absolutely ruins the experience.
OpenAI, why must subscribers deal with CAPTCHAs? I AM PAYING FOR A PREMIUM SERVICE, AND THIS ONLY DAMAGES YOUR REPUTATION!

It really sucks to see so many people having this issue. I just got it a few minutes ago and a quick research showed this has been a problem since 2023. I hope they notice this and fix it as soon as possible.

Got to agree, this makes the service pretty much unusable. Paid user here but wouldn’t be able to keep using it if this is the intended behaviour.
Come up aprox 1 hour ago here… and I’ve post it about.
Meanwhile, huge number of people starts to complain about, adding comments to this post. It seems that the verification test has been reloaded, after 1 year, without being fixed. What a care from chatgpt for their paid or free customers!

You can try to use another account to know if the issue “comes from” your account (unusualk activity or stuff…) or from their overloaded systems
Is there a way to block you on this forum? really anoying to see your images while troubleshooting an issue
