I’d like ChatGPT to support optional reminders. If I explicitly ask ChatGPT to remind me about a date, it should be able to send me a notification on that day or the day before. This should be completely opt-in and controlled by the user.
I’d love an optional feature that lets ChatGPT send me reminders for important personal dates (birthdays, exams, anniversaries, etc.) that I choose. It should be opt-in and respect my privacy.
Welcome to the community @Divine_Favour_Mmesom,
This sounds similar to Scheduled tasks in ChatGPT (released June 17, 2026) which already supports reminders and recurring tasks for users where the feature is available. OpenAI’s release notes mention that users can ask ChatGPT to send reminders and schedule tasks for specific times or broader windows. It’s available for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users.

Thanks for pointing that out! I wasn’t aware of the Scheduled Tasks feature.
I’m currently using the Free plan, so I don’t have access to it yet. My suggestion is mainly that this capability be expanded to more users over time because reminders for important personal dates and tasks would be genuinely helpful.
I appreciate the information
Totally agree with that. Hopefully Scheduled tasks will be available for everyone. It is a good feature.
I hope so too! Thanks for the information and for taking the time to reply.
Of course and you’re welcome!
