Upgrading from trial to business plan is a mess

I created a trial account and started using codex. Then I created a business plan account.

I had huge issues telling codex to use the business plan. I merged the trial account into the business acount, openai deletes the trial account by default. https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/ still thinks my codex is pointing to the trial account. I must have logged out and logged in dozens of times but openai is still confused…

Please help - apologies for the cross thread post, impossible to get support other than a noreply account that doesn’t address the issue.

You do not use API organization API Key authentication when using a monthly subscription. The platform site is not connected to ChatGPT.

You have a ChatGPT account, and you must login and authenticate with your ChatGPT account name to any Codex application.

hmm - I try codex login, which should I hope kick me into an auth screen.

I don’t know if I created two accounts with the same email and that is confusing things - but like I said, I successfully merged the trial with the business acount. I logon via the business account logon and in the UI I see unused quota…

codex login just doesn’t see quota though - so, if after merging accounts and I know only have 1 account - I cann’t figure out what the issue is tbh.

chatgpt dot com/admin/permissions → ok - I enabled codex in the business account, not sure if there are multiple portals but this is the first time I’ve used any saas product and had to read through documentation…
