I’ve been working on a grammar checking extension and ran into an issue with ChatGPT. When I ask ChatGPT to check grammar, but it’s swapping out curly quotes and apostrophes (“ ’) with straight ones (’ ").
I’ve tried different prompts, but no luck.
Interestingly, the Merlin Chrome Extension doesn’t have this problem.
When you check a text with these symbols, it goes through without any fixes, claiming “everything is correct.”
Any ideas on how to stop ChatGPT from replacing these symbols? Would appreciate your insights!
