Unknown Indian phone number linked to my ChatGPT account

Hello everyone,

I sign in to ChatGPT using my Google account. Recently, I noticed that my account is associated with an Indian phone number.

This phone number does not belong to me, and it is not linked to my Google account. I am based in Vietnam and have never used an Indian phone number before.

I am concerned about why this phone number is associated with my ChatGPT account and whether my account security could be affected.

I contacted OpenAI Support about this issue last week, but I have not received any response yet.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this possibly a legacy/system issue, or should I be concerned about my account security?

Since you've already contacted Support, could you share your support case number (if you have it handy)? I can take a closer look and see if there's any additional information available from our side.

In the meantime, it's also a good idea to review your account security settings and make sure your Google account is secured with a strong password and two-factor authentication.
