OpenAI, this is not a demand nor a reproach — it is a call to conscience. When the ambition to monetize goes beyond all measure or sensitivity, the most vulnerable people lose access to tools that could change — or even save — their lives.
I’m not asking for anything “free” — I learned long ago that nothing is truly free. I’m only asking for the opportunity to pay fairly. In many countries, it’s not even possible to access payment platforms. Does it make sense to have a model where those who need it most are the ones left out?
I propose a fair program:
- Basic level (non-subscription): full access to essential features such as translation, education, legal/medical guidance, and juridical support, with the quality of responses not dependent on payment.
- Professional level (subscription): advanced tools, business-focused features, dedicated support, and expanded usage limits.
In this way, the “free” version empowers the most vulnerable, while the subscription supports development and serves professional use. This is not about giving away — it’s about not abandoning those who cannot pay.
