may I have help here anyone in openAI? So my account has been verified previously for TAC but Yesterday when I’m trying to login in my Windows there is an error when I try to reverification it show error like this User is not eligible for Persona cyber verification?
Same issue happen to me
contacted @OpenAI_Support but keep telling “cannot help” ![]()
Yes I’ve been contacted so many times and tell the bug. The problem is on their on backend but support keep telling that to log out log in refresh browser etc
Yep, same issue. They are refusing to acknowledge its a backend bug even though it is clearly a bug. I am getting the feeling they don’t care about proactive cybersecurity.
Hey team, that's indeed frustrating.
Is this issue still persisting for you? If so, which ChatGPT plan are you currently subscribed to?
Avinash
Yes Its still persist, right now im in free plan, Im cancel my pro subs because Its become unuseable as my work ITS on security research
Free as well now..Im not paying until this is fixed. I have a support ticket with Smith but no response in a week. It’s been three weeks total of no actual support
One month of this issue still. Other users facing the same issue going on two, three, four months. No response in two weeks from support, even though my case was supposedly escalated two weeks ago now.
What is going on with OpenAI? I thought cyber security was supposed to be critically important to them but TAC being broken for months for all applicants signals the exact opposite.
@OpenAI_Support Smith?
same… need assistance on this please?
Adding a data point, since the plan question above is still open:
also on Free here.
Slightly different failure mode worth noting for anyone triaging this —
mine fails at precheck (403, cyber_verification_precheck_failed) before
a Persona inquiry is even created, so no ID document ever gets
evaluated. Been going since mid-July. Support (case 12270863, previously
11831557) has confirmed they can’t override or explain the result —
matches what’s described here and in the linked threads.
@OpenAI_Support — if free-plan is actually a common factor across the
reports in this thread, that seems worth flagging internally. Between
this thread, the ID/passport one, and the Persona mega-thread, this
reads as systemic rather than a handful of edge cases.
I am on Pro Max plan with the same issue.
I have been approved for the regular TAC without any problem, but I seem to get Cyber blocks intermittently after context compaction (where I am then directed to the ENTERPRISE TAC form) - which is where my identity ‘can’t be verified’.
Is there any difference in the two? @OpenAI_Support
Hi and welcome to the community @brumbelow!
I suggest using the /feedback command when this happens. You can share the feedback ID here, and I can forward it directly to the team.
If compaction triggers this bug, I am sure they will want to take a look at it.
Same issue, it’s incredibly frustrating. I’m on the Plus plan and was approved, now im not approved anymore and it gives me the “ineligible” error. Definitely leaving and switching to Claude.
yo, ai automated reply. still fix nothing
