With the new advanced voice mode using the iOS app, I found that if I directly ask it to sing it will say that it can’t do it. However, if I sing a bit of a popular song (in this case I tested it out with “here comes the sun” by the Beatles), often times the voice will jump right in and sing the next line, pitchy Melody and all. Sometimes it will say that it can’t do that, but if you just say, “sure you can. Give it a shot,” it will suddenly realize it’s vocal capabilities and go forward with it. Lol. Not sure if this is by design or if this is a leak they were hoping to patch but didn’t fully succeed. Either way, fun thing to play around with

It’s a shame they don’t allow for singing. Although it’s a bit understandable with the, you know… whole “copying/stealing” thing. Hopefully once the dust settles it’ll come back and we can rock out with our ChatGPT agents
Maybe in the meantime they can also work on the pitch
