I’ve been trying to pinpoint this issue as the latest android 15 beta won’t work with the native Chat GPT app sign in, possibly caused by Google’s updated play store API. Noticed on web I can log in through my google account, but all the models behave as the standard free model on the back end. No search, no o1 reasoning, and other problems.

Can any of you confirm if you registered / login with an account through Google, and if your subscription is set up on your mobile provider store? I have a hunch that since the outage the other day subscriptions are not working properly through third party on the back end, while the web UI is showing all the (unusable) features.

To test this, I created a a brand new account through OpenAI login instead of Google and added it to my teams tenant. It works fine, while the google account one on that same tenant, is unable to do basic web searches.

Let me know if any of you are using subscriptions and logging in through Google, Microsoft, Apple provider prior to the outage a few days ago. If we can start gathering some similarities this might help support escalate to dev team.

I have a plus account which I directly set up by email login on OpenAI. Not working on it either. I directly log in using my email and password.

Then that rules out my theory that it’s related to third party subscription providers. Teams plan works with a NEW registered account invited to the tenant. It however still does not work for my original account that has a plus membership, and access to the Teams tenant. Even in the teams tenant it behaves the same.

If it’s true this is effecting people whom registered through OpenAI too, then there is a massive problem with accounts in general, and I’m surprised it isn’t effecting more people.

P.S. I am in US Central.

All of my friends here who have plus account have been affected. It’s not working on either of our accounts. How long have you been using the new account which you added in the teams plan on which its working?

After a few days of constant issue, one of my friends made a new account and activated plus membership. It worked for a day or two and then it also stopped working.

I am not using a Google email, and I paid directly via credit card, but the same issue occurred

Please Fix it we paid for this service, and it a crucial function.

The new models have been released, so why hasn’t 4o been fixed yet? Don’t you think users should be compensated?

I believe this issue will not be resolved, and you may lose all the associated costs.

Hi folks,
I’m dealing with the same problem right now. I think I know what OpenAI is doing. They’ve introduced a new kind of subscription called “Pro” ($200 per month), which gives access to more features than the Plus plan. If you log in with an account that has no active subscription or payment, you’ll see limited access to features. I’m guessing they’ve decided to make this feature exclusive to Pro (not Plus) users.
INSANE if I’m proven right!
