Im lost i can’t understand why GPT4 can’t translate from English to Danish simpel dokument of Characters 17492 Words 2620 Lines 325.
Thats like 4,373 tokens
so far from the 8,192 tokens limit GPT4 has
It just truncated the text, does not even provide any info or notification, so one dont even know that it did a half ass job 
Its account that are TIER4
Can someone shed some light on this for me please?

Try splitting your requests up into smaller blocks, you can run them in parallel if you need the speed, if you keep the API calls under 1500 tokens you will typically get a full translation each time.

My programmer found this in the forum, and that’s the real reason
“Number of tokens include prompt +chat history + question.”
So what i send to it is actually times 2 -+ for change of language but roughly, and that’s then more then the 8K limit…

Yes i will make a system that split all texts up in spammer parts for translation, good idea too, thanks
I’ll definitely recommend splitting up the text, it will be a much cheaper solution than using the GPT-4-32K
Note that the Danish translation isn’t perfect, but it will be “good enough” in many cases.
