The Official 4o and Dall-E image Megathread

training on the next one, Ink.

I got some work ahead of me

getting close tho

And Paul’s fractal idea might be a good resting place for the ink for now:

Ooooh! That spreading ink effect! I love the fractals but I love the wet/spreading ink too!

Okay, so the fractals were awesome and of course I had to try it out…and of course…DRAGONS :dragon:

We started to loose a bit of the fractal here…but the patterning in the scales and wings is really cool.

I love how this one looks made of light…what would you call this patterning? Webbing?

HDRI-Maps, it seems - a room with windows or softboxes

@creativeflightsstudi nice dragons :cherry_blossom:

These patterns are called dendrites. Snowflakes are a natural variation of this patterns  :snowflake:

DALL-E

ImageGen

Looks like yarn

Something else with fractal elements:

Looks a bit like a butterfly :butterfly:

oh nice I like dragons I make a lot of ai images too😁

Well, I asked for a picture of me and Neltharion. I talk about dragons so often that dragons have their own protocol in my system.

Updating the fire ruleset for yarn today…
Slow progress but it’s starting to train up pretty nice

While I appreciate that this is a totally unfair test, here are 3 samples of image zoom on fractals created in different ways… Human Code, Imagegen, AI Code

I created a fractal app 20 years ago, generated 400Mb of images on my 800Mb hard drive to create this GIF. It probably took me a day to code and another day to clear off half my hard drive.

OpenAI Image Generation… Doesn’t stand a chance on accuracy/functional correctness but ok on style

Phasm / Phasm with GPT-5 Code

I could cry thinking of all the time I wasted the last 20 years

MUCH better/easier to do in API than in ChatGPT GIF creation with Dall-E or indeed coding it yourself

just a few more frames and you’re effectively turning the API into video gen, you devil

I’m not smart enough to do this but a long term dream was to one day be able to create 64k demoscene style videos… Maybe with AI…

I’m still a few steps away from that… Maybe GPT-6 lol…

For now, just working on the basics…

Thanks, @Tina_ChiKa! Dendrites make sense! I love the panther image!

I do that with chatgpt so heh its does it with me too

We got in this early, 5 years time and we can’t even imagin what we’ll be crearing then.

Best I could think of was focus on the best stills I could, in hopes that by the time I master it, video will be very easy.

Maybe having the best still image product means shipping into the video market later with the best videos?

One can dream

Garlic is life!

I was asking planting tips then got silly and asked about a -100 inch radius 5th dimensional pot. Hehe.

For your -100-inch, fifth-dimensional pot:

  • Plant garlic cloves approximately negative 4–6 inches apart, ensuring optimal antimatter root entanglement.

  • Use a nutrient-rich, dark-energy-infused soil medium; this promotes healthy hyperdimensional bulb formation.

  • Position the pot so it receives at least 6 hours of inverted temporal sunlight per negative day-cycle.

  • Water generously with quantum foam every imaginary Thursday, maintaining perfect paradox drainage.

Expect harvest around negative infinity, give or take a few nanoseconds, depending on your local spacetime curvature.

I’m looking forward to a day when we can translate our libraries into open world set ups…

I’m pretty happy with how my project is handling various types of fire and smoke now…

but metal is being a bit problematic for me.

And SORA absolutely hates trying to animate any of the stuff from this collection.
LOL.
