The headphones icon to enabling voice chat is gone

Hello!

I still didn’t know why that feature on my phone is gone. I usually do a voice chat through the app from my phone (Android user : S24 Ultra), after re installing the application through playstore the feature is gone. I can’t find any information about this on the internet. Trying to uninstall, clear cache or re installing its not help me.

Anyone facing the problem similar to me? How to enabling voice chat again.

I just experienced the same issue minutes ago. I was trying out the feature and then after I exited the chat to start another the headphones icon is gone. Anyone have any ideas?

I am an Android user and I have the same issue! Anyone who could tell us if this feature is removed by OpenAi itself.

Well, uninstalling then reinstalling the app seems to have, at least temporarily, fixed the issue for me. Hopefully it sticks

I have the same issue. Uninstalling and reinstallingn didn’t resolve it.

Same here I think with the new model out the got overwhelmed and had to turn it off. When I did have access today it was returning errors.

Same here as well. I was using it last night and it was available. Today it’s gone. I’m guessing it has to do with the rollout of the 4o features. The changes are definitely server side as there was no update of the app.

I wouldn’t think the feature wouldn’t be completely gone while they roll it out. Hopefully it was just a snag and it will be available soon with the new functionality.

I have a same issue, at the noon it worked fine but now icon doesn’t appear in the app

I’m in the same boat here - uninstalled and reinstalled but no voice feature.

I also tried to use my shortcut - I have the action button on my iPhone mapped to start a voice conversation, and am now getting a message “Voice unavailable: Please make sure this feature is enabled for your account.”

Same issue. Given it’s happening just after the deployment of 4o my guess is it’s a precursor to the new features being slowly rolled out. There was a new update as of yesterday so my guess is the version has the new features but they are locked until they are rolled out on a per user basis as the new features will replace both the headphone and camera options.

Same issue here, I just upgraded to the paid version of Chat gpt 4o, but the headphone icon is gone and I can not eneable the voice functiion.
