The App icon got corrupted after published

Hi OpenAI Team and Community,

Our app was published today, but we noticed that the icon appears to be corrupted.

We suspect this may be due to a format change during submission. At the time we submitted the app, the icon was required in SVG format. However, it now said that PNG is the required format. We’re wondering if the system may have automatically converted our SVG file to PNG, which could have caused the corruption.

Could you please advise if there’s a way to fix this issue? Ideally, we’d like to resolve it without having to resubmit the app, as the review process takes quite some time.

Thank you for your help!

Hey @Oka_Widhyartha, I can see why that’d be concerning, especially right after launch.

From what folks have been noticing, there isn’t really clear documentation on how icons are handled after upload. But there does seem to be a pattern where SVGs get accepted at submission, then rendered or stored internally as PNGs later on. So it’s possible some kind of conversion happened behind the scenes, which might explain the corruption you’re seeing.

Best next step here would be to open a ticket at help.openai.com so the team can take a closer look at your specific upload and confirm what actually happened. That’ll give you a more definitive answer vs guessing based on patterns, without needing to go through another review cycle.
