Accessibility issue with ChatGPT
Dear Developers.
I’m a visually impaired user.
I am informing you that ChatGPT is somewhat difficult to use when a phone screen reader is enabled, as TalkBack cannot detect the elements on the screen through touch exploration. I respectfully request that you resolve these issues within the application to improve both the user experience and its overall quality.
I experienced this issue after the application was updated on the morning of Wednesday, June 24. Following the update, I opened the application, and it initially functioned properly. However, when I attempted to type, I utilized touch exploration to locate the “reply to ChatGPT” field; unfortunately, TalkBack could no longer detect the on-screen elements via touch exploration. I also attempted to swipe left and right, but TalkBack only detected “Temporary Chat,” “Dictation,” and “start a voice conversation.” The remaining elements on the screen were no longer accessible through the screen reader. As a user, I respectfully request that you resolve this issue. Accessibility inclusion is vital in every application update to ensure an enhanced user experience.
Thank you.
