the ChatGPT Mac app has Text Replacement option but somehow chatGPT atlas doesnt have, please enable that function oterhwise it cannot be used as my main browser
Also please support webapp somehow like webapp with Microsoft edge sidebar. it’s a pain to use webapp on ChatGPT Atlas
yes, this is very important feature. just confirm that it works on the search / address bar. so weird. also we need an official way to run small webapp like the sidebar in Edge and/or Make shortcuts for applications, running webapps in Tab is just insane.
In my case, Text Replacements works as it should in the first text entry window prompt and in the search bar, but in the ongoing conversational text entry window it fires on any keystroke. Typing “it” uncapitalized in the ongoing conversational text entry window results in “It” capitalized. All Text Replacements appear when typing as they should, but instead of only firing upon hitting the spacebar, they fire upon hitting any key. Every word that beings with the letter “i” becomes capitalized. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to hit “esc” for every text replacement that appears…
Do others experience this problem, and is there a reasonable workaround for it?
Also experiencing this. Never had anything like this in any other app, since setting up a text replacement for pho → phở over a decade ago on my iPhone… now I’ve discovered the presumably-delicious concept of phởtography (and yes, that just appeared while typing :D)
Please fix this, it’s making ChatGPT Atlas very difficult to use.
I use text replacements extensively across all my Apple devices, and they work correctly in every other app. I write in Italian and rely on text substitutions to automatically correct words, for example:
Piu > Più
po > po’
In every other app, text replacements trigger only when pressing space, dot, or return. In ChatGPT Atlas, instead, they also trigger when followed by any other character. As a result, I now constantly end up with words like po’sters, po’stures, etc.
Because of this issue, I’m still forced to use Chrome for my everyday work, but I would really love to use Atlas as my main browser.
Same here, text replacement firing upon any keystroke instead of space/enter/tab(?) is a pain in the ass. If I put prefer, it put pourefer as pr is my shortcut for pour (for in French). Just to write this sentence I needed 3 attempts. Very annoying, looks like a custom text field or something like that, Chrome is working fine.
True. Chrome and every other app on my Mac except for Atlas are working fine, it’s very annoying that this is still happening since I’m pretty sure it’s a pretty easy fix.
