Suggestion: Give ChatGPT an Optional Emoji Animation Capability for Some Mischief

ChatGPT (non-API) emoji usage often creates fun and spontaneous interactions, adding a bit of enjoyment while working. Emoji use can also be reduced or disabled when users prefer a more straightforward response.

But what if emojis could express the model’s sense of humor a little more?

I asked ChatGPT (currently using ChatGPT Go) to make a quick prototype of a feature that lets the model add subtle micro-animations to emojis, similar to how the model can already use # to make text larger.

For example, the model might decide to add a small floating, shaking, bouncing, or other motion to an emoji when it feels appropriate, making the response a little more expressive. Not every emoji would need to be animated — the model could decide when and where it makes sense.

It could also be interesting to see how models actually use this capability on their own. Would they come up with new ways of expressing humor through motion?

Most importantly, this should be fully toggleable so users don’t get annoyed by it. Ideally, it could even be an optional Easter egg and default to OFF.

This is just a fun, non-serious feature suggestion.

The animations in this demo are just examples — the idea is that the model would decide which motion to use in context.

Ahh well, here’s another DEMO with an animated bone :meat_on_bone:!
