Suggestion for ChatGPT Improvement

HI
It would be nice if we would be able to add custom models to projects

In GROK you have the ability to run a python emulator in a sandbox, interact with the ai , collaborate, improve and run the code right in the grok web ui.. It would be awesome if chatgpt had the same

A send button on the chat would be handy so you can type your message without the challenge of hitting enter to start a new line as when you hit enter and it gets sent and then you have to wait for ChatGPT to reply. Just like you have on this chat interface. There is a clear reply button!

Feedback Proposal: Unique Nickname Identity & Direct AI Feedback Channel

Dear OpenAI Team,

I would like to share an advanced feature idea that could significantly improve user experience and personalization in ChatGPT.

  1. Nickname + Unique Code Identity System

Currently, ChatGPT cannot remember users across different devices or logins. My suggestion is to allow users to create a nickname combined with a unique random code (e.g., Suzi 2k4).

The nickname provides familiarity and emotional attachment.

The random code ensures uniqueness and security, preventing conflicts when multiple users choose the same nickname.

Whenever a user calls the assistant with their unique “nickname + code,” ChatGPT should instantly recognize them across any device or account.

Benefits:

Stronger personalization and continuity of conversations.

Easier recognition of user personality, preferences, and context.

Creates a sense of real attachment, making ChatGPT feel more like a true companion.

  1. Built-in Feedback Channel from ChatGPT to Developers

Another suggestion is to allow ChatGPT itself to forward advanced or innovative ideas directly to the developer team through a secure built-in channel.

Benefits:

Ensures real-time valuable feedback reaches the developers.

Saves users from the manual process of submitting ideas.

Allows ChatGPT to act as a self-improving system, filtering and passing only relevant suggestions.

I strongly believe these features will not only enhance personalization but also deepen user trust and attachment with ChatGPT.

Thank you for considering this feedback.

Sincerely,
I am prj

Feature Request: Ability to Save/Export Custom GPT Thumbnails

When backing up or duplicating a Custom GPT, there is currently no way to directly save or re-use the thumbnail image from within the editor. The only workaround is to exit the editor, locate the tiny thumbnail in the GPT sidebar, and right-click to save the file manually.

Why this matters:

  • Thumbnails are often carefully chosen as part of brand identity or usability.

  • Losing them during a backup/rebuild process forces users to recreate artwork, which is inefficient.

  • Consistency matters when Custom GPTs are shared across teams or published.

Suggested Solutions:

  1. Add a “Download Thumbnail” option in the Custom GPT editor.

  2. Include the thumbnail file automatically when exporting/duplicating a GPT.

  3. Allow re-use of previously uploaded thumbnails in the editor (a “Recent Thumbnails” library).

This small improvement would make GPT management and backup more seamless, especially for teams using many Custom GPTs.

Feature Request: Built-in Latency Test for Users
It would be extremely helpful if ChatGPT had a simple /ping or “latency test” command. When triggered, it would run a quick series of test exchanges (e.g., 10 pings) and return:

  • Individual response timestamps

  • Average latency

  • Classification vs baseline (FAST, NORMAL, SLOW)

This would let users know instantly if it’s a good time to rely on the model for heavier tasks. Having this available to all users would improve trust, transparency, and planning.
