Hey,
I currently run a bot that I’d love to make a feature for that would generate an image based on the prompts the user searches for.
My bot is primarily intended for NSFW (18+), so the feature I’m describing in the title would be amazing for my bot’s purpose, and I think others would also benefit from it for their own projects.
In addition, it would be really easy to change.
The function where you can generate a random image by using whatever keywords you like; if you use a NSFW search, e.g. “h*ntai” as prompt
, as an example, I’d get an error code 500
(Bad Request).
I personally think it’d be awesome if you did allow such searches, if in the engine it was enabled.
Could be done with something like:
nsfw: true // (false on default)
Let me know what you think.
There is little to no chance that OpenAI is going to permit NSWF in any way that the news media will write a big story about it.
Corporations always ask themselves, “Do we want this to end up on the cover of the New York Times or the Washington Post?”
I think we can very safely assume that OpenAI does not want the fact that users can generate NSFW images using Dall-E (or ChatGPT if possible to generate images).

Hey @ruby_coder
I see your point.
Although this is something each developer would have to opt-in to and enable by themselves as it would by default be off.
You can technically find NSFW content on Instagram, Facebook and on many other places, but I don’t think I have EVER seen a story about that and if it was the case, they uploader would be targetted, not the platform.
The way I see it; there’s no “story” to write from this.
If there’s something you’d like to add or ask, lmk
Well, your are taking about apples and oranges comparing users posts on FB and Instagram etc to a generative AI owned by a company which creates them.
So, regardless of your debate points or requirements for NSFW content @icedqueen, there is just about zero chance will permit NSFW image generation at this point in time.
Take care.
