Subject: Need for a Clear Choice Between ChatGPT Versions
Hello,
As a regular user and satisfied customer of OpenAI, I want to share important feedback to enhance the user experience. I greatly appreciate the current version of ChatGPT that I use (identifiable by a black circle that reacts to intonation). This version delivers thoughtful, well-constructed, and human-like responses. It creates a genuine connection, meets my expectations with depth, and even has the ability to perform Internet searches—an essential feature for me. While it doesn’t allow interruptions during responses, I see this as a sign of respect, as each exchange feels complete and meaningful.
However, I am often redirected, without any choice, to another version: the advanced voice mode (recognizable by a circle with dancing blue cloud-like patterns). This version frustrates me for several reasons: it responds very quickly but lacks real structure and thoughtfulness, it gets interrupted easily by background noise, it cannot perform online searches, and most importantly, it seems to “forget” me between conversations. This detracts significantly from the experience and doesn’t meet my expectations.
I understand that some users might appreciate this mode for its speed or reactivity. However, for users like me, the depth and quality of responses are essential. I believe it would be fair and meaningful to allow a clear choice between these two versions from the outset, with a simple option to select the desired interaction type (in-depth mode or quick mode).
I encourage you to consider this feedback, as it reflects an essential need that could resonate with other users. Thank you for your work and for listening to our input!
