Struggling to build a repeating report from data dumps! (due to execution state reset)

Hi All,

Context = looking at live orders in a manufacturing setting.

I am trying to build a report where I can dump a load of order data for ChatGPT to produce a report about which orders are considered critical. By applying basic filtering and basic calculations based on dates.

I have managed to produce a fantastic report but when I come back to use the chat thread later and try and upload a new data set, Chat GPT doesn’t like it, it is struggling to deal with uploadeding excel or csv files.

I get a message saying the execution state has reset and to reupload docs but then it struggles with a reupload. Uploads work fine in new chats just not the old ones.

I am trying to build a lot of these style of repeat reports and face the same issue on all of them. The chat is great to start with and I can teach it to produce the report I want, but when I came back the next day with a new data set, the whole thing became useless!

I spent a long time teaching chatgpt to produce the report in the hope that it would make future report building easy but that is not happening and I dont know why??

Are chats considered temporary and basically I need to build the perfect prompt that I can paste in each time I need to produce these reports?

It is really frustrating, this has the potential to make my repeating tasks a 5 min export and dump task every day rather than minimum 1 hour, some help would be much appreciated!

Is there an update to this Issues of “execution state was reset” when working with uploaded files?
I know it is a major issue that is being worked on, but I cannot find the link for this update and I don’t have access to the discord chats in my region.

Anyone who can shed some light on this - greatly appreciated. I’ve tried all the tricks such as new chats, saving as different formats, but that isn’t the real answer to the problem.
