AI-Powered Spotify Playlist Management

I would like ChatGPT to be able to connect to Spotify (with the user’s permission), analyze a playlist, and identify duplicate tracks.

The feature should:

  • Detect identical songs as well as duplicate versions from different albums or releases.
  • Display which songs appear multiple times in the playlist.
  • Ask the user whether the duplicates should be removed.
  • With a simple confirmation, automatically edit the playlist through the Spotify API while keeping one copy of each song.

I believe this would be a valuable and highly appreciated feature for many Spotify users, especially those with large playlists.

Thanks for sharing this suggestion.

ChatGPT can connect to Spotify through Apps/Connectors, including music-related integrations in some experiences. However, ChatGPT does not currently provide a built-in feature that analyzes Spotify playlists for duplicate tracks and automatically removes them after user confirmation.

I can see how this would be useful for users managing large playlists. I'll pass this feedback along to the team for consideration.
