First off, thank you for creating such an incredible tool that has become an essential part of my daily workflow! I have two feature suggestions that I believe could greatly enhance the ChatGPT interface:
1. Pin Chats to the Top
- Why: Users often have ongoing projects or important conversations that they revisit frequently. The ability to “pin” certain chats to the top of the conversation list would provide quick access and improve organization, especially for those of us managing multiple threads at a time.
- How It Could Work: Add a small pin icon next to each chat in the sidebar. Once pinned, the chat would stay at the top of the list, regardless of when it was last accessed.
2. CMD+U Shortcut for Uploading Files
- Why: Efficiency is key when working with ChatGPT. Many users frequently upload documents for analysis, but having to click the upload button each time can interrupt the workflow. Adding a keyboard shortcut (e.g., CMD+U or CTRL+U) to directly open the file upload dialog would streamline this process.
- How It Could Work: When the user presses CMD+U (Mac) or CTRL+U (Windows), it would trigger the file upload dialog, allowing users to quickly select and upload a document. This would complement existing keyboard shortcuts and improve accessibility.
