We were trying to keep the gallery thread on-topic (a gallery! lol) and make an easy way to talk to all the image enthusiasts here.
Also, I wanted to try to put together a wiki-post of some sort to highlight all the great image tips and what-not we’ve had over the years.
I’ll help any way I can @PaulBellow. I am a strong supporter of the creative potential of AI and the comunity of artists and enthusiasts it has fostered. I have a lot of time now too since I’m fully retired.
@PaulBellow I’m in a lot of Facebook art groups and other off OpenAI groups. Are you interested in building the art community larger? I can mention the gallery if you think that’s cool? Right now we have like 6 hardcore posters and maybe 20 who visit post on the OpenAI gallery. Unfortunate that some of the strongest members of OpenAI art community are having system issues now.

That sounds like a great idea. A dedicated group for image enthusiasts would make it much easier to share resources, discuss techniques, ask questions, and organize collaborations without cluttering the main gallery thread. It could also be a good place to build an Image Resources Wiki with tutorials, tools, and useful references for both beginners and experienced members. I’d be interested in joining if the group is created.
My offer of a dedicated GitHub repo is still sort of “pending”. Anyone willing to discuss?
BTW I’ll be doing it anyway for next reasons:
- Space to stock info about image generation
- Version control on the info above
- Distilling the info above into “best practices”
- Distilling the best practices above into general approach and common sense rules
- Distilling all the above into public “imagery skill”
- Collecting feedback on the above and iterating on refining the skill
- Project management for the above
So if anyone is willing to join, I’m totally open to collaborate

The thing is to find something where all can work together. We have to do that discussion. We haven’t done that yet right? I don’t mind the format tbh. Just that with images and Git LFS, maybe be a bit too much. Got to have the others engaged in the convo too.
The other option could be through the sites skill from work. It’s a nice feature for that too.
A very good collaboration point in the repository might be storing images somewhere else and properly configuring the files. Nothing prevents regular users simply connecting their ChatGPT to GitHub and participating through ChatGPT. That’s more like a scratch book with a public surface that can be accessible on GitHub… Open to ideas.
Started a group DM for this, so we don’t get too Off Topic on this thread… though I guess it could be used for general discussion on stuff we’re planning?
Just not sure if non-image people are interested in us discussing it publicly?
I do like the idea! We could include it in the section for off-site links maybe?
