# Shift+enter no longer prevents chat submission

Hi, it seems there’s a regression in the Chatgpt user interface. Previously, if you pressed shift+enter, you were able to create new lines without submitting your chat message. Now, it doesn’t seem to respect the shift+enter and will submit. This is pretty annoying. Pretty sure it’s a bug, or maybe the key command changed? Having shift+enter is very useful for writing nicely formatting prompts.

The command might have been ctrl+enter - I’m not able to check of course - but regardless it worked before and no longer does.
