# Severe Typing Lag in Long ChatGPT Web Conversations

When a ChatGPT web conversation becomes moderately long, typing in the message box becomes very slow and unresponsive. Characters appear with noticeable delay, and the lag worsens as the conversation grows.

Starting a new conversation immediately restores normal typing performance, suggesting a front-end performance issue related to long conversation history.

**Environment:** ChatGPT Web, macOS, Safari.
