Several days after my comment here, still not updated to the new version, maybe my 20 dolars dont have the same value in comparison with other users? lame!

I’m on the September 25, 2023 version, I was able to turn on browsing by enabling the beta feature in settings and then holding my cursor over the GPT-4 option to present a drop menu with “Browsing with Bing”. After selecting that option I could start using ChatGPT with browsing.

I am not seeing Web Browsing option on Google Chrome. Is it intentional?

Same here. It does not work in any browser. I am paying 20 USD per month but cannot enable Browse with Bing. Simply does not appear the settings BETA section so no way to listed under ChatGPT4 selector

I know this isn’t what you want to hear but…

It’s a beta feature. You aren’t guaranteed access to any particular beta feature at any particular time.

It might be a bug or some other issue, but that is also the nature of beta features.

I just subscribed to the Plus plan today, because of this Browse with Bing feature (saw it on a YouTube video). But it’s not showing for me :disappointed_relieved:

I’ll share my situation with you. I used the option very well, and it worked perfectly with my Microsoft account. About a month ago, I received an alert that my account was blocked due to suspicious activity, and I couldn’t recover it anymore. OpenAI’s customer support is non-existent. I had to create a new Chat GPT account, this time using my Gmail. I paid for Plus again, and now it’s not working. Please comment if you are experiencing this issue with a Google or Microsoft account

Hello all! I can see I’m not alone with the problem here. However, I found a loop around this. If you download the app on ur IOS/Android and IF you have the browsing feature there, you can open the chat there and then on the computer. SO it would go like this:

  1. Open Chatgpt app (IOS/android)
  2. brows with bing there to just open the chat, anything goes really.
  3. Go back to the computer and find the same chat you used on the app.
  4. it should work now even from the computer.

This worked for me and I sincerely hope it works for you. For some countries, 20-25€/month is quite a lot, and this feature is quite essential.
