Here is a trick for those using the API and asking,
“Will completely new product be available in the API?” (ref)
Check the OpenAI cookbook for examples. When the o1 models came out the cookbook had a few o1 model examples ready to use.
Also check the cookbook examples as listed on GitHub examples as sometimes an example will be easier to find that way.

Note: Searching for search in the OpenAI Cookbook does not find an entry related to this topic. I personally take that to mean that OpenAI does not plan to offer this ability at this time (11/07/2024). However, experience has also taught me keep a list of such pages and check them either daily, weekly, monthly, etc. as sometimes you learn something that others often miss.
