Suggestion: ChatGPT RP / Storytelling
I would like to suggest both a new RP Mode feature and a dedicated RP / Storytelling subscription.
Roleplay, storytelling, worldbuilding, interactive fiction, and character-based conversations are already one of the most common uses of conversational AI. Millions of users use platforms such as ChatGPT and CharacterAI for these purposes.
However, current tools are mostly designed for standard conversations rather than long-term stories and persistent fictional universes.
RP Mode
Add an optional RP button next to the message box.
The button can be enabled or disabled in Settings. Users should also be able to hide the button completely if they do not use RP features.
When clicked, the RP button opens a small RP menu.
This menu would allow users to select which RP tools are active for the current conversation.
Examples:
- Characters
- Locations
- Organizations
- Objects
- Lore
- Powers
- Timeline
- Other custom sheets
Nothing should be forced on the user.

Fantasy RP:

Custom RP Types
Users should be able to create their own RP types.
Examples:

Each RP type could store:
- Enabled sheets
- Writing preferences
- RP rules
- Other RP settings
This would allow users to quickly start a new RP without manually configuring everything every time.
RP Presets
Users should be able to save and load presets.
Example:
Fantasy RP Preset
Automatically enables:
- Characters
- Locations
- Lore
- Powers
Company RP Preset
Automatically enables:
- Organizations
- Characters
- Timeline
This would save a lot of setup time.
RP Sheets
Users should be able to create sheets manually.
Examples:
Character Sheets
- Name
- Age
- Personality
- Appearance
- Relationships
Location Sheets
- Name
- Description
- Important Information
Organization Sheets
- Name
- Members
- Goals
Lore Sheets
- World Information
- History
- Rules
This avoids constantly repeating information.
Users should also be able to disable automatic sheet generation if they prefer creating everything manually.
RP / Storytelling Subscription
I would also like to suggest a dedicated RP / Storytelling subscription.
Possible pricing:
- Around $12/month
- Or around $30/month if exclusive models are included
Possible placement:

- RP / Storytelling

- Pro
RP Memory
The biggest feature would be dedicated RP memory.
Instead of mixing roleplay memories with normal memories, RP subscribers could have a separate RP memory system.
Inside Memory settings:

Users could switch between them.
RP Memory Categories
RP memories could be organized by RP type.
Example:
RP Memory
- School RP
- Fantasy RP
- Company RP
- Apocalypse RP
When opening a category, users could view all universes associated with it.
Example:

- Universe C
This would make long-running stories much easier to manage.
The RP memory should also be significantly larger than normal memory.
Storytelling Tools
Possible tools:
- Automatic timeline generation
- Automatic world wiki
- Event tracking
- Character persistence
- Long-term story continuity
- Better summaries for long stories
Larger Project Limits
Many RP projects quickly reach the current project instruction limits.
Increasing project instructions to around 12k–24k characters for RP subscribers would be very useful.
This would allow:
- Larger worlds
- More characters
- More lore
- Better continuity
- More RP rules
Models
The subscription could include:
- Access to Plus-level models
- Manual model selection
- Longer availability of older models
- GPT-4o availability for RP users
- Potentially a model optimized for storytelling and roleplay
A dedicated RP model could focus on:
- Character consistency
- Story consistency
- Long-term memory
- Creative writing
- Narrative quality
Why?
Millions of people already use AI for roleplay, storytelling, worldbuilding, and character interactions.
Many users also used GPT-4o specifically because of its conversational style and storytelling abilities.
A dedicated RP / Storytelling subscription would give these users tools specifically designed for persistent worlds, long-term stories, and immersive roleplay experiences.
I believe roleplay and storytelling have become large enough use cases to deserve dedicated features and possibly even a dedicated subscription.
