Help, is there anyway to retrieve them back? I use my conversation to write a novel and when two responds came out and none of them fit my criteria, i clicked on the “X” to get back and all the other responds from the same conversation disappeared and all the contents of my novel went down the drain, I didn’t even have chance to backup.

I have the same problem as you, I lost 99 or 100 chapters.
Edit: I solved it this way:
I solved it within ChatGPT itself. Apparently, the messages you modify (because you gave a bad instruction, or there is a spelling mistake) and send, or the ones you restart (the ones from the AI because it doesn’t give you the answer you are looking for) create branches within those messages (for example: 1/2; 2/2…) What I did was click on each branch until I reached the lowest point. If your chat stops at the bottom, but you know there is something else written, you have to look for the next branch, and so on until you find all the messages.
I did it through ChatGPT Chrome browser.
