Hello OpenAI,
I hope this message finds you well. I would like to provide some feedback regarding ChatGPT’s teaching approach, especially in the context of programming (LuaU).
I’ve been studying programming and have learned a lot from ChatGPT recently. However, I noticed that the tool tends to default to using “functions” and “if” statements, even in cases where alternatives like “while,” “repeat,” or “for” loops would be more efficient.
For instance, today I learned how to use the “for” loop, and I recalled a countdown script that ChatGPT had recently provided. In that example, a function was used, but I realized it could be simplified by using a “for” loop instead. While functions are still very useful, the tool could explore using other programming structures more frequently to simplify scripts and broaden the learning experience.
Therefore, I would like to suggest the following improvements:
-
Introduce a more diverse range of programming structures beyond simple functions.
-
Always remind learners to check the Roblox™ API when teaching. This would ensure a more comprehensive understanding of the topic. It would be even more helpful if ChatGPT included direct links to relevant API articles alongside the explanation.
ChatGPT remains an invaluable learning tool, and I’m confident these suggestions would enhance its effectiveness even further. Thank you for your attention to this request!
Best regards,
Pedro C.
