Is there any plan for OpenAI to bridge the massive price gap between Plus ($20) and the cheapest Pro tier ($100)?
I really want to upgrade from Plus because I need higher limits for my daily work, but I simply cannot afford $100/month right now. A sweet spot for many individuals and freelance devs would be a mid-tier plan priced around $40 or $50/mo.
Please consider adding a budget-friendly intermediate option for power users who aren’t enterprise or high-budget professionals yet!

Aren’t API credits like 10 times more expensive than the usage that is included in the subscription? Why would anyone want to use them for coding?

However, I’m looking for a strictly flat-rate subscription. I don’t want to deal with APIs, and I absolutely do not want to worry about buying or adding extra credits/tokens during runtime. I just want a single, predictable monthly payment with zero friction. That is why a $40-$50 fixed tier would be the perfect sweet spot for me.

A few folks have been asking for something between the current Plus and Pro tiers.
We'll forward this feedback to the team so it can be logged and considered. We can't provide any timeline or say whether a plan like this is on the roadmap, but the request has been noted.
