Interesting fact that after I touched settings - I can’t reproduce previous problem.
Before that - I Haven’t this button even in chats that start as usual chats.
Now it’s only in Chat that starts with Canvas

Thank you Eric & rililinx, I’ve tried turning off the canvas function only via pc website and it worked! Tried looking for the canvas option in my phone and tablet app but couldn’t find it though, OpenAi should have that option on android devices. Seems like canvas is the one that causes the regeneration button issue?

I had some weird interaction with this fix. Same as everyone here, the moment canvas is used in a discussion, it removes the ability to regenerate messages in the whole conversation.
So I made a new one after deactivating canvas (and all the other capabilities, see pic)
Worked ok for the first generation, but updating my prompt (coupled with the downtime from yesterday) made it generate using canvas and disabled the regenerate button.
Yeah, this is annoying! I was trying to write a “As gods will” Canada version (for funnsis) as I told them make a scrip but instead of chat, they use canvas. It caused regenerate button to go away. Sorry for the grammar
