Hello OpenAI Team,
I have noticed that the reasoning limit is hitting much faster than before. Previously, I could have 100+ reasoning-based interactions, but now, within 10-20 messages, the limit is reached. This is affecting productivity, especially for users relying on AI for coding, logic-based automation, and research.
Key Issues:
Reasoning limit is too strict, making AI less useful for problem-solving.
Heavy image generation users seem to be consuming more resources, which affects reasoning-based queries.
Free users’ experience has significantly worsened compared to before.
A separate quota for reasoning and image generation would be a better solution.
Affordable paid plans ($5-$10) should be considered again, as $20 is too high.
Is this an intentional change? Will OpenAI consider adjusting these limits in the future? Many users rely on AI for productive work, and this limitation is frustrating.
