Realtime Voice + MCP in the Official ChatGPT App?

I realize you can build on top of the Realtime Voice API, but I’ve found the token costs to be quite high.

As far as I know, the official ChatGPT app doesn’t currently support connecting to MCP services from realtime voice mode. Has there been any announcement about this coming at some point?
